Broadband Light (“BBL™”) is a corrective phototherapy treatment created by Sciton, that utilizes light therapy, to target visible signs of aging as well as those deep in the epidermis. BBL™ delivers control pulsated light that gently heats the upper layers of the skin. The heat allows for skin cells to regenerate and stimulate collagen production, the main source of silky, glowing, and beautiful skin. The procedure is relatively quick depending on the size of the area being treated, and the seriousness of the condition. Most BBL™ treatments can be completed within 30 minutes. BBL™ has little to no downtime although some swelling and redness may occur, but typically subsides by the following day.
